Masjid e umar – muslim welfare society

Based in Darlaston, Wednesbury, the Muslim Welfare Society based in Masjid E Umar approached CDL with a project to provide a new mosque for the local community. Approaching the firm aiming for the wealth of experience in design mosques, the client desired a traditional design which took inspiration from classical mosques in Medina whilst remaining grounded in its context.

The proposal will provide a new multipurpose hall for indoor recreational activities such as women’s classes, elderly sessions, health, wellbeing and lifestyle classes. The new proposal also provides a new office for administration, storage, kitchen and servery, quiet room etc.
